Resources

Keep checking back for new and updated resources!  Please note that some of the resources are Brooklyn-centric.

LIBRARIES

“Every child needs a safe place to fall – a place where he or she can explore things without worrying about failure and judgment. A library is one of those places. In a library you can learn by following your own nose, which is very different from someone telling you what you should learn. Once a [child] learns a library is hers, to use as she wants, the world opens up.” – Bill Harley

Libraries are oases of quiet and order.  They are sites for open exploration and inquiry. In addition to being a home to books, they are also hosts for a wide variety of cultural and literary events.  Do take the time to explore the websites of the public library system to familiarize yourself with the the wealth of services and events.  If you are active on Facebook, “Like” the FB pages of the libraries to stay up-to-date about their goings-on!
